Raspberry DCC
Welcome on the project page for the Raspberry DCC!
This is an ongoing and still in development project with the goal of creating a DCC central station based on the Raspberry Pi. The central station will implement the DCC standard and therefore can be implemented in existing layout and used in combination with commercial products.
The DCC central station consist of different components:
Raspberry Pi
The Raspberry Pi is the brain of the system, it will run the program that controls the whole logic of the layout. Fore additional information about the Raspberry Pi have a look here. Be aware that the are Raspberry Pi exists in different revision, and not all share the same pinout. This project is based on the revision B.
Expansion shield for DCC protocol
In order to convert the command of the Raspberry into the DCC signals an expansion shield has been designed. This shield is based on a PIC microcontroller. for the Raspberry Pi and the controlling software. At the moment the development of the expansion shield is ongoing.
